The name Noia comes from the word metanoia — an ancient Greek term describing deep transformation and a fundamental shift in how we see and experience the world. It represents a change that is not just surface-level, but lasting and meaningful — a shift from what no longer serves us toward something more intentional and alive.
This idea is at the heart of everything we create.
Just like metanoia, upcycling is about transformation.
It's about taking what has been discarded, forgotten, or left behind,
and giving it new meaning. Old materials that might have ended up
in landfills are reworked into something new, valuable, and full of character.
Noia is a reflection of this process — where change becomes creation,
and imperfection becomes beauty.

All pieces are created through an upcycling process, giving new life to pre-existing materials. Most garments are made from second-hand items, carefully selected for their quality and character. I primarily work with denim and 100% cotton, valuing their durability and natural feel. Occasionally, I also source fabrics from deadstock suppliers such as Textile Mountain.
Because each piece is made from existing textiles, every fabric carries its own history. This means that even within the same color category—such as light blue denim—shades and textures will naturally vary. Product images are therefore illustrative, and slight differences in tone, wash, or structure are part of the uniqueness of each item. Unlike mass production from a single fabric roll, exact replication is not possible.
Processes
The design process is based on a set of original patterns that are refined and repeated across collections. However, due to the nature of upcycling, each garment is constructed from a different source material. This means that while the cut and overall design may remain consistent, every finished piece is one of a kind.
All pieces are designed and made locally in Prague, with careful attention to each step of the process.
Production is done in small batches or individually, with careful attention to each step of the process. Smaller items can usually be made to order within a few days. For larger or more complex pieces, please allow up to 2–3 weeks for production.
Sustainability
This brand is built on the idea of rethinking what already exists.
By working primarily with second-hand garments and deadstock fabrics, I aim to extend the life cycle of materials and reduce the demand for new production. Each piece is created through upcycling, transforming existing textiles into new forms with a different purpose.
Production is intentionally small-scale. Items are made in limited quantities or on demand, helping to avoid overproduction and unnecessary waste.
Because of this approach, variation is part of the process. No two pieces are exactly the same, and that individuality reflects a more conscious way of making and consuming clothing.
Sustainability, for me, is not about perfection. It is about making thoughtful choices, working with what is already available, and creating pieces that are meant to last.

How to order
All pieces are sold directly through Instagram or email.
To place an order, simply send a message with the link or name of the product you are interested in. Your order is confirmed once availability, details, and payment are agreed upon.
As there is no automated checkout system, each order is individually processed and confirmed before it becomes binding.
Payment & Shipping
All orders are paid in advance via bank transfer unless otherwise agreed.
Orders are shipped from Prague, Czech Republic.

Shipping costs are not included in the product price and are calculated individually.
Returns & Refunds
In accordance with EU consumer law, customers have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of receiving the order.
This applies to ready-made pieces.
Made-to-order or custom upcycled pieces are exempt from standard return policy, as they are produced individually based on specific materials and cannot be restocked.
Returns are only accepted for unused items in original condition. Please contact me via email or Instagram before sending any return.
